Hillary Hedging All of Her Bets on Super Tuesday Primaries

Hillary’s defeat in South Carolina was according to their campaign a minor “upset” on there road to the nomination in Denver , Colorado. It was amazing because during her concession speech she acted like nothing happen and said just only four words of congratulations toward Barak Obama’s victory. Then “slick willy” Clinton compared Obama to Jesse Jackson by saying he was victorious in South Carolina in 1984 and 1988. Bill and Hillary are banking on Super Tuesday because of their strong national machine and their pandering for the latino vote. The tag team approach by Bill and Hillary seemed to be in formidable combination but Barak has teamed up with a heavy weight in the Democratic Party Ted Kennedy.

The contest between Hillary and Barak reminds me of the rumble in the jungle, the fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Ali was the peoples champion and Foreman represented the establishment champion. During this time in Ali’s career he was on the comeback trail because he was incarcerated for not registering for the draft for the Vietnam War. On the other hand Foreman was the Olympic champion who refused to raise his fist along with the other black athletes in a public display of protest during the Black Power movement, but instead waved his American flag while winning a Gold medal. Barak is one of a few politicians that opposed the Iraq war, while Hillary supported the war that up until now can be called a “colossal mistake!”

Foreman going into the fight was a dominating character in and out of the ring. He had a reputation of being able to knock you out with either hand and was merciless once you step into the ring. Ali was not the odds favorite to beat Foreman but Ali was the people’s favorite by chanting “kills Foreman, kill Foreman”. Days before his fight, Foreman wanted to forfeit the fight and Don King discourages him for doing so. In contrast Hillary conceded South Carolina primary to Obama and instead of campaigning to the day of the primary she went to other states to get a leg up on Barak before Super Tuesday.

When the fight began Foreman beat Ali like a punching bag a left to the body and a right to the body. During the primary Hillary and Bill hurled combinations of distortions that at times made Barak go on the defensive. At times during the fight in Africa, it seemed like Ali was allowing Foreman to hit him without counter punching. Later on Ali would describe his defensive tactic as the “rope a dope!” The simple theory of this strategy was to allow your opponent to hit you so much that while you relax on the ropes blocking shots, that eventually your opponent would tire himself out. Bill and Hillary over zealousness to beat up on Obama, began to tire out potential voters when the time came to cast ballots.

The way I see it is Barak used the” rope a dope “technique on Bill and Hillary during the South Carolina primaries. I forgot to tell you how the “rope a dope “technique ends. It ends when you sense that your opponent is dead tired, and then you execute a surprise counter attack and knock your opponent out. This is what exactly Ali did and his upset victory over Foreman and it secured his place in boxing history as the “greatest of all times”. Obama’s counter punch came in two phases, phase number one happen when he won South Carolina by 28 points. Phase number two came when the patriarch of the Kennedy family, Ted, gave Obama an endorsement to be president and rebuke every distortion that the Clinton’s said about Obama. These two events had to knock the Clinton’s back on there heels but not entirely out. George Foreman bounced back after the rumble in the jungle by becoming the oldest to win a heavy weight title and to sell over 1 million indoor grills that bear his name. Maybe Hillary can do the same on Super Tuesday by winning over a million ballots that bear her name.

Two Clinton's one canidate?

“Hillary and Bill versus Barak”

As we go into the South Carolina primaries and then to Super Tuesday, it is clear that Hillary has already picked a running mate. You could never guess who, so here are just a few indicators about who it could possibly this person could be. Her running mate is a democrat; a wordsmith and an inept ability too distort and spin facts concerning the truth. Also her running mate is a man that has known her for years and one could say he is as close to her than her own brother. The final clue to who it is would be a dead giveaway, so here it is and he is from Hope, Arkansas.

With these clues that I have given you, that if you haven’t been held hostage in an underground bunker in Greenland, you probably figured it out. Bill Jefferson Clinton is the unofficial running mate to his wife Hillary. What a surprise, or who would have ever figured out that maybe Hillary communication skills are poor that “the great communicator”, Bill would have to be her front man. Let’s face it Hillary had to go into politics because if she was a practicing defense attorney her record would be dismal. Every time she speaks she reminds me of the Mattel doll where you have to pull the string and then the doll would speak some prerecorded message. Hillary’s ideal of passion is speaking loud and belligerent over the other candidates to make a point. It’s just like Barak said” she’ll say any thing to get elected.”

Bill Clinton is the perfect running mate for Hillary because if she gets elected he not just going to be the first man, oh no! He’s going be the shadow vice president. For example George W. Bush is the president or is he? Maybe George is the puppet of Dick Cheney’s bidding. Just maybe Dick is a master ventriloquist able to throw his policies in George W. Bush’s head. Wait a minute would that be a ventriloquist? No that could be called Psycho ventriloquism? Could you imagine Bill Clinton the first man of the white house? He would want to sit in on all the meetings or he would interrupt meetings by knocking on the door to tell Hillary something. What if Hillary is half way around the world and Bill decided not to go, imagine what he would be doing. Imagine a former president, now the first man picking out china patterns and curtain designs at the White House in his robe and slippers.

If Hillary can’t control her husband on the campaign trail, how do we think she could control him in the White House? Top Democratic committee members demanded that Bill take a reduced role on the stump for his wife. Hillary doesn’t mind Bill passion to generate votes because it is working and Bill owes his wife big-time for the public embarrassment he put her through during his adulteress affair with Monica Lewinsky. As a team they are formidable but the real question to ask is that do they represent change or are the Democrats looking back at the past.

It is very apparent that in order for Barak to win the democratic nomination he is going to have to defeat Bill and Hillary. Hillary has the intelligence but as a communicator her ability to stir up passion is suspect. Bill on the other hand is a master communicator with the ability to make a false hood seem like the truth. For example during his hearing during the Monica gate, Bill an Oxford, England educated Lawyer asks the presiding magistrate what is the definition of” is” is? Barak cannot be distracted by Bill’s tactics and have to stay on message. Maybe the Democratic base should do some foreshadowing on how a Hillary presidency would really look like. I think that they want the Clinton’s back so they can go back to the glory days of the nineties. The only thing this isn’t the nineties it is two thousand and eight and the situation is vastly different when Bill was the commander and chief. High gas prices, an perpetual global war on terrorism, decaying infrastructure, economic global recession, devaluing of the dollar, nuclear weapons in the hands of rogue nations, the return of the Soviet Union and Global warming is going to be on the desk of the next president. In order to tackle these issues of our time we need to change how our government operates and that’s a government for the people and by the people. Right now our government is for the corporations, insurance companies, drug makers and bankers and isn’t helping the people but indebting them and foreclosing on our jobs and homes. Bill and Hillary Clinton have made a decent living in politics and they had 35 years to do so. It is time to steer away from lifetime politicians that don’t accomplish anything with lasting value other than increasing there personal assets. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t have 35 years of life before he died by the way of a assassins bullet but look at what he accomplish for the disenfranchised. Maybe we should hold all who hold public office by the same standard.

Not just the Republicans have a problem with race

“Even the Democrats have a racist underbelly”

Barak Obama has clearly been a catalyst for the change movement that has revived an uninspired electorate to arise and let your voice be heard. Recently during a campaign rally in New Hampshire, former president Bill Clinton referred to Obama as a fairy tale candidacy. Then Hillary referred to our country going backwards if she is not elected as the democratic candidate for president. Wait a minute, are these the same Clinton’s that the majority of black folks supported through the good and the bad times during there administration. Bill as of late has become Hillary’s attack dog on the stump and both of them are talking in code.

Talking in code is a slick tactic of not saying what you mean but allowing inferences to those who you are talking too and who are really listening. This is an covert political strategy used by the Clinton’s out of desperation because of Ombama’s surge to be the unlikely democratic front runner. The real question is what was the Clinton’s really trying to say?

Let’s decipher the first example, Bill called Obama candidacy a fairy tale. What he was really saying is a Blackman to think he has what it takes to be the president of the United States of America must be living in some type of fairytale fantasy. For Bill to stoop this low is actually revealing of his true colors, when it comes to winning or losing an election, black folks are expendable. You would expect a comment like that would come from an ultra conservative like Rush Limbaugh or Bill O’Riely , who are the kings of racial code talking. His strategy is simple to suggest to an unaware electorate that a Blackman can’t be the “Head Negro in Charge or H.N.I.C” of the United States of America, and if he does think he can, he’s in some type of fairy tale.

Hillary’s racial coded language came before her emotional outburst, when she alluded to the fact that the country would go backwards if she didn’t win the democratic nomination for president. Her statement and tears was a clever attempt to sway the undecided voters and to talk to racially minded voters. It worked, she beat Obama by two points and in her victory speech said that she found her “voice”. What her voice was really saying was, to elect a Blackman as president the country would go backwards or “blackwards”. Mr. Obama so far has run a clean campaign and didn’t attempt to lash back at these code talking attempts.

For the country to go backwards, it would appear to me that electing the Clinton’s to a third term would be the obvious choice. Hillary’s voice wouldn’t be her own but her husband’s and she would become a literal human puppet. The surprise to me is that after these racially coded statements had been aired, that the Democratic Party base core came out and defended that Clinton’s for not being racially biased. How absurd to think that just because the Clinton’s had won a majority of the black vote in their eight years in office that they could get a blank check on these racially motivated comments and this check wouldn’t come back insufficient funds. Not even the conservatives have publicly but although privately might have suggest that voting for a Blackman would be a fairy tale and detrimental to the United States of America. John McCain came close to suggest in code that electing Obama would put the country at risk for a terrorist attack. What ever the code either party is trying to use the language is clear, we might live in a democracy but race still is an issue to be considered. Asks yourself the question if Obama had been white? Would they say his candidacy was a fairy tale or the country would go backwards? Would you hear that the country would be at risk of a terrorist attack if Mr. Obama was elected president? With statements that the American public has heard, it is very true that it is time for a change. A change from these racial lenses that has infected every segment of this society, that somehow to be white is alright but to be black is not alright. Until we clear this racial hurdle in America, this country will never transform into the nation that the founding fathers intended it to be “home of the free and land of the brave”.

Hillary should thank McCain

In the political arena in 2008, some critics argue you have to have experience to become the president of the United States of America. Their rational is that not having experience would put this country at harms risk in respect to national security. However, this argument reminds me of how employers would deny perspective job applicants. How can you ever gain experience, unless you were given the opportunity to do the job? Barak Obama the presidential democratic front runner is now being attacked about his lack of experience, by members of his own party.

Let’s take cliff notes on how our government is set up. Every State in the union has U.S congressmen, except Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S Virgin Islands and up until recently Washington D.C. Every congressman according to their respective state’s population either creates or votes on legislation. Two thirds of the congress has to pass legislation before it goes to the Senate. In the Senate legislative bills are either ratified or killed and any bill that is passed must have the same two thirds approval. This branch of government is referred as the legislative branch.

As president your office is called the executive branch. This branch of government has several functions including the title of commander and chief. With such a broad range of responsibilities it would be impossible to have previous qualifications for such a demanding position. To delegate power, the president has cabinet positions which are appointed and must be approved by confirmation by the senate. Currently today we have fifteen presidential cabinet positions; Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Agriculture, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Education, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Secretary of Homeland Security, these are men and women responsible for executing are government affairs.

Our final branch of government is the judicial branch. This branch, which is also known as the Supreme Court, is responsible in protecting our rights under the constitution and to oversight the legislation that is passed by the congressional and executive branch. Also the court is responsible to review lower court cases from the state and local branches of government. All twelve judges that sit on the court were appointed by former presidents and their positions are lifetime for each judge.

It seems to me that under our system of government no one man or woman is truly qualified to be a president. Our current president W. Bush was a failed Texas businessman. To be a good president of the United States it takes a; mandate or purpose, charisma or passion and good judgment of character. Obama’s popularity and rise in the polls exemplifies all of these qualities that it takes to be a good president. Barak has a mandate for change of the way politics is done in our nation. People are sick and tired of big dreams and empty promises. The nation want’s someone to stand up and deliver. Mr. Obama has passion that is heart felt; it’s not some empty chatter box spouting out a bunch of cleverly worded clichés. His victory speech after the Iowa caucuses was one of the most powerful speeches that will go down as one the best in American political history. Evidence on his judgment of character is too early to call, but the choices for his political advisors is any indications of his judgment the nation and he’ll be just fine. A president needs more than just experience, because he picks out others with expertise to advise him on just about any matter he needs a professional opinion on. Just like a good head coach or captain, a leader has to give people hope and confidence that if we work together we can overcome any obstacle that get’s in our way and that is exactly what Barak Obama brings to the table.

Experience isn't Everything

The Las Vegas Debate

“Vegas, Hillary is the dealer, Edwards is the dark horse and at the roulette table you should always place your bets on Barak “

In Las Vega last night the democrats displayed blue chip talent during their debate last night. It clear the difference that lie between the democrats and the republicans. Hillary did here best to look and act presidential. Her performance is always and seemed to be rehearsed like a theatrical stage production. Edwards and his twelve hundred dollar haircut, stayed on message regardless of what the question he was asked. Clearly , Barak Obama stage presence was dominate and he didn’t have to act as an president, because he is comfortable, regardless of the situation that he is in.

Mrs. Clinton gave a decent performance last night, but she and her campaign has taken then role of the dealer at the gambling table. The dealer at any gambling operation represents the house or owner of the establishment. As a dealer you are responsible about adhere to the house rules and collecting or rewarding monies earned or lost. Also a dealer notifies management about any cheating being done by the other players. Hillary and her machine soon after her victory went on a covert attack and introduce race on her criticism of Barak Obama. It got out of control when the owner of Black Entertainment Television Bob Johnson an Hillary supporter insulted Obama by insinuating that while he was an community organizer in Chicago he was experimenting with drugs. The cards was clearly dealt at the Las Vegas debate because Hillary’s political machine stack the deck with non-issues. So the first line of questioning wasn’t about national issues, instead they were focused on Hillary’s attack and Barak’s counter attack a week after the New Hampshire primaries.

John Edwards gets a C grade as far as performance last night at the debates. The problem with Edwards is that he does have substantive middle-class issues but how can he really feel the pain of the middle-class while sporting a twelve hundred dollar hair cut. Most working class men wouldn’t spend over twelve bucks for a hair cut. Another reason why Edwards get’s an average performance grade , because he stays on his message so much that after a while he begins to sound like a scratched record. For example if you were to asks him “can we put a man on the moon again?” his reply would be,” yes, and that’s why I am fighting for the middle-class!” Edwards needs to loosen up and get off the “champion of the middle-class” script and answer a question without pandering to specific focus group.

Finally, Barak Obama if he didn’t realize it, I would bet he does now on how dirty politics can be. Hillary called off the attack dogs but the damage had already begun. It took Howard Dean the Democratic Party Chairman to step in and tell both campaigns too put the boxing gloves down. The “race” issue was about to split the Democratic Party in halve and in particular the black and brown vote. If this split would have happen it would have benefited Hillary and it would crush Obama’s rainbow coalition. In the long run, this would have increased the odds in favor to the republicans to retain the white house in two thousand and eight. Obama’s debate performance was smooth and steady. Quite frankly, the crowd was told they couldn’t show any applause for any of the candidate’s remarks. Mr. Obama regardless of the rules received applause from several of his statements. His performance could be described as grace under political fire.

It seems to me that this Las Vegas debate was by designed to give Hillary a cover up for her personal attacks she and her political machine had displayed. Her only defense was if it didn’t come out of my mouth then I am not responsible for it. What a cop out, and it was an answer I would have expected she would give. Her appearance on stage reminded me of a cat trying to hide a canary in its mouth. Bill and Hillary stacked the deck of the Las Vegas debate and almost seem to know what questions was going to be asked prior to the debate. Well, John Edwards during the debate looked and acted like a dark horse, while sounding like a scratch record. If I was too place my bets it would be on Barak Obama. He looks, acts, and talks like a president. There also seems to be a reality and honesty, in the way he answers tuff questions. His answers don’t seem it is based off of some poll or pandering to a focus group. Hillary answers to questions seem like they aren’t from her own mind but it is from the mind of Bill, who is her puppet master.
